Context

Silver is an event-organizing and dating app that plans group blind dates, inspired by Korean sogaeting dating norms.

I rewrote the copy of the dating app's website landing page to align with brand tone and attract new users.

Solution

Hook: making a first impression with the header

← Question is more inviting

"Perhaps" hints at possibility

Emphasis on "introduce" hints at meaning of "Sogaeting"

Clear sell: we plan the date and they meet in person.

Introducing the product solution: contextualizing the "why"

1-1 metaphor with brand name

Order de-emphasizes the problem and prioritizes the product as a solution

Mentioning brand name in mission statement sounds more authoritative

"Wants to" inviting but not forceful language

Painting the picture: details about the process

"Bring a friend" ordered last draws attention to new information.

Short + punchy = memorable

"See the vision" metaphor uses trending language among target users: 18-40 year olds
